Where to Track Tariff Changes That Affect Your Imports

Tarisol · August 12, 2026

Tariff policy moves quickly, and the changes that matter to your business are not always the ones that make headlines. Knowing where to look keeps you ahead of both new costs and new refund opportunities. Here are the sources worth watching.

The Federal Register

The Federal Register is the official record of tariff actions, exclusions, and rule changes. It is the primary source, and everything else references back to it. If a change is real, it is here.

The USTR

The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative sets and adjusts Section 301 tariffs and manages the exclusion process. Its announcements are where you learn which products are being added, removed, or excluded.

CBP

U.S. Customs and Border Protection handles the operational side: how tariffs are collected, how claims are filed, and how refunds are processed. CBP guidance affects the mechanics of any recovery.

Watching these sources consistently is a job in itself. Our Tariff News page follows the developments that affect importers and flags what matters for refunds. When a change suggests you have a claim, a free eligibility check is the quickest way to confirm it.
